Bonnie Solomon is a novelist and screenwriter with a passion for crafting humorous, uplifting stories in magical settings. Contemporary cozy fantasy-romance and hopepunk (speculative fiction that emphasizes optimism, kindness, and collaboration to create a better future) are her favorite genres.

A Midwest native and seasoned Hollywood professional, Bonnie brings a wealth of experience in feature film development with industry giants like Walden Media and DreamWorks Animation. Her notes have gone into many DWA movies, including Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Wild Robot. As a creative consultant, she’s written film and TV treatments/scripts, edited novels, and coached writers from outlines through final drafts.

As a queer writer, Bonnie is committed to authentic and aspirational LGBTQ representation. When she’s not writing, you can find her cuddling the cat, shaking it loose on the dance floor, or finding the best latte in LA.
